Evan was born in Brussels, Belgium (Yes, Belgium like the waffles). After 14 years of living in all sorts of random places on the globe, he ended up in New Hope, Pennsylvania. Here he decided to continue his fledgling theatre career, only to discover that there was a very strange phenomenon present at his high school: all the theatre kids also sung together in something called a “choir.” Unfamiliar with this “choir,” Evan avoided it until his junior year when he was finally forced to join as a result of terrible peer pressure. In this “choir” Evan discovered that, contrary to everything theatre had taught him, there were actually males who weren't tenors, and he fit in nicely as a “bass.” Evan took this new identity and used it to form a high school barbershop group, through which he first discovered the existence of college a cappella. He still has an admiration for theatre but is now looking forward to singing “dm dm dm” for all of his foreseeable future.
